Osborne Cabinets

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: I have an antique piece of furniture and I want to use it in my project. Can I do this?
A: Sure. We have the capability to incorporate, duplicate or even modify a furniture piece to fit a particular area of the home. We have had tremendous success with this service and welcome the challenge associated with such a project.

Q: What type of materials do you use in your construction?
A: Typically, the interior portions of the cabinets are birch or maple plywood, unless the cabinet has glass doors or is completely open. On those cabinets we use the same materials as the exterior portions of the cabinets. The dovetailed drawers are constructed of solid wood and have a plywood bottom. Our doors will vary in materials depending on the style, but the frame of every door is solid wood. The door panel may be either solid wood or plywood, depending on what door style you have selected.

Q: What species of woods are available?
A: The choice is yours but is determined by the overall style of your project. We have a wide array of premium woods at our disposal from the nation’s finest mills. Maple, Pine, Alder, Cherry, Walnut, and Mahogany are just a few of the products we offer. Exotic woods and veneers are also available to create that special look.
